Installation of IP CCTV system, and upgrade of intruder and fire alarms
Background Info: Installation of CCTV and an upgrade of existing security systems.
A previous client for whom we’d installed a residential Remotely Monitored CCTV system contacted us to see if we could perform a similar service for his business premises. Located in Leigh the property needed CCTV coverage Internally and Externally, as well as an upgrade for his Intruder and Fire Alarms.
The Requirements
The client wanted to secure their site, visibly adding security to deter intruders while providing coverage of the property in and out. This would allow the client to have full visibility of the entire location, providing security as well as oversight of stock and staff.
The Solution: A HIK Vision IP CCTV system linked to local PCs and mobile devices, and an upgrade of existing intruder/fire alarm systems.
To meet the client’s requirements we installed:
-
11 Hik Vision 5 megapixel cameras installed externally and internally, covering the building, display items and warehouse stock.
-
A 16 channel 10TB MVR Recorder connected to internal computers and mobile devices, allowing the client to view both live and recorded footage.
-
Upgrades to the existing Galaxy Intruder Alarm System to expand the detection area, while also connecting the Fire Alarm System. Centralising the alarms to a single system, and allowing both of them to be monitored.
The Process: Start to Finish
4 of our engineers completed the entire installation and setup in less than 2 days. Worked was completed during work hours, but disruption was kept to an absolute minimum and working activity was undisrupted, allowing both sales and repair teams to continue working.
The cameras are now installed and up and running, and all wiring was installed specifically to minimise any visual impact.
