Installation of a hybrid IP CCTV system Trafford

Overview

Protive was asked to provide a complete security solution for Missguided’s new headquarters based at Trafford Wharf. The client required an upgrade of the existing security solution at their new company HQ.

We had previously worked with Missguided to provide security solutions at warehouses and storage facilities in the Trafford area, and were seen as their preferred supplier for this project.

The Requirements

Missguided needed a future-proofed monitored IP CCTV, access control and monitoring solution, alongside intruder detection. Their requirements focused on complete site security, full property protection and a duty of care for VIPs.

The required system included full CCTV coverage inside and out, intruder alarms and detection, remote monitoring, identification of people entering and leaving the property, and police notification in the event of a break-in.

Our Solution

Protive installed a Hikvision networked hybrid IP CCTV and ANPR system, a Texecom intruder alarm with remote access and monitoring, and zoned access control. The installation incorporated existing equipment while adding a range of new systems.

The CCTV installation included 16 cutting-edge Hikvision 5 megapixel cameras connected via a networked IP CCTV system capable of supporting up to 64 channels. Cameras were installed internally and externally to provide full coverage, with an integrated external ANPR system to track and identify people using the single entry and exit point.

An existing Galaxy alarm system was replaced with a grade 3 Texecom Dualcom intruder alarm, using internal dual-tech PIR sensors, contacts on roller shutters and doors, a main control panel and connection to a custodial monitored station with police alerts.

The Process

From the initial quote through to completion, the work was completed in four weeks. The installation was carried out with no disruption to day-to-day operations by working outside normal operating periods or in areas not in use during the day.

The finished system can also be monitored remotely by employees using apps on phones or tablets to access CCTV.

Result

The completed installation provided Missguided with a complete, future-ready security system for their Trafford Wharf headquarters, combining CCTV, ANPR, intruder alarm monitoring and access control into one practical site-wide solution.

Joe was polite, friendly and very caring towards my mother on arrival to her home and reassured her understanding she had recently been hospitalised for almost 3 months and was still very frail.
