Installation of External CCTV for leading supply chain

Overview

Protive recently completed the installation of a complete security system in a warehouse for a leading supply chain, transport and logistics business providing industry-leading services to many of the UK’s best-known brands.

We were selected to upgrade the security systems for one of their distribution hubs, from which they sort, store and ship a large quantity of stock for a number of high-profile global brands. The site was acting as a flagship programme for the UK, so ensuring the security requirements were met was crucial.

The Requirements

The project required comprehensive CCTV coverage, including face and vehicle recognition. The client needed full CCTV coverage with the ability to monitor traffic entering and leaving the site using ANPR.

Access control also needed to be coupled with a facial recognition system to ensure that only the right people could enter the facility. The system also had to provide complete coverage of all stock areas, with alarmed entrance and exit points connected to CCTV.

Our Solution

To meet the client’s security requirements, Protive designed and installed an integrated security system including two ANPR number plate recognition cameras connected to the external security building and internal security system.

The installation also included a facial recognition system connected to the existing access control system, Hikvision PTZ domes to track movement through packing areas, intruder alarms and static cameras covering entrance and exit points, and 10 cameras covering storage bays and aisles.

Result

The finished installation gave the client a joined-up security system across the warehouse, improving visibility, access control and monitoring across stock areas, vehicle movements and key entry points.
